Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress known for her work in the film Hum Aapke Hain Kun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most renowned Indian actors. In the 1980s, she made her debut in acting and became popular with the role of Tezaab in which she starred alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil where she co-starred on the screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance at an early age. As a young woman She began acting but had a difficult time as a majority films she made were unpopular. Then she found her feet and became one of the most prominent actors in the Indian industry of film. After her wedding, she took one year off and then returned to entertainment. Recently, she had an important part in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women throughout India. Dixit was nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize given to civilians in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. She is well-known for her charitable work as well.
